Out of Network
Hello there! My name is Kara Cobb. I am a Licensed Social Worker who graduated from Governor’s State
University in 2020. I received my master’s degree in Social Work and my bachelor’s degree in Psychology
with a minor in Communications. I have been part of the Center of Self Actualization since 2019, where I
started off as an intern. Working with people to help them reach their therapeutic goals is a passion of
mine. I work with individuals who are struggling with having low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, lack of
motivation and more. I use a combination of motivational interviewing, strength-based approaches, and
cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I have a strong belief that a lot of things can be addressed with just
sitting down and having a conversation.
If you are struggling with low self-esteem, body image, depression, relationships, or academics…let’s sit
down work together as a team! We will work on building your confidence, developing healthy
communication skills, and learn different ways to cope with life’s unexpected detours.
