Leslie is an exceptional graduate student pursuing his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health 

Counseling at Governor’s State University. He received a Bachelor’s in business management 
and marketing from Chicago State University. Working in corporate and government settings
throughout his life has afforded him a realistic understand of the challenges we all face in
pursuing or best selves. Leslie retired from the US Army in 2017, having served in three combats
tours to pursue a passion for helping others through counseling and research. He’s conducted
extensive research into evidence-based treatments and their ability to affect change in the lives of
those who struggle with trauma and other mental health issues. Leslie’s specialty is working with
individuals and couples, health professionals, first responders, veterans, and their families and
those who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety and substance use.
